This is how it all started

Stichting Jogja was founded after the devastating earthquake in 2006, when we raised funds to help rebuild houses.

Once the reconstruction was completed, our focus shifted towards education. We provide children with additional lessons in English and mathematics, giving them greater opportunities to continue their studies and build a better future.

Since 2016, we have also run the Scholarship Program, which enables 25 students each year—who otherwise could not afford it—to pursue studies at vocational colleges, universities of applied sciences, or universities.

They receive guidance throughout their studies and achieve excellent results: some even graduate cum laude, and by now we already have our first master’s graduates.

Stichting Jogja has a mission
to ensure the continuous flow of knowledge and experience,
from heart to head.

From strong roots, the future blossoms

We have recently started developing a community platform, where pupils, students, and alumni can continue to meet, share experiences, and support each other. This will strengthen their network and expand their opportunities. Ultimately, we hope this will allow the foundation to remain self-sustaining, though we recognize it will take some years to fully achieve this.

This community platform was created to help everyone stay connected.
We named it AbadiLink

Connecting minds and ideas through the exchange of knowledge
